Dear Residents of Falcon Courts North,
United Communities will be performing fire hydrant flushing throughout Starlifter, Falcon Courts North and Falcon Courts East starting Monday April 25th. Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system, remove sediment from the water mains, verify the proper operation of the hydrants and valves, and maintain firefighting capability. During the flushing process, it is not uncommon for a yellow, brown or reddish tint to appear in the water. Harmless mineral deposits settle in the water mains, and flushing the system stirs the deposits causing the discoloration. If you notice any discolored water within your home, run cold water until it clears and refrain from using the washing machine or hot water heater until the water has cleared. Flushing will be conducted from 3:00pm to 1:00am starting Monday, April 25th. Flushing Starlifter, FCN and FCE should take approximately 2 weeks (weather pending).
